So as I write I'm passing the time in Copenhagen airport waiting to board my flight home to Dublin!!! We've had one of the best weeks of the tour so far and I cant tell you how excited I am to be going home to see my family, friends, and most importantly all my cats, dogs and birdies for a few days!! Heehee...
Picking up where I left off..We had a great show in Oregon and it was so nice to see some familiar faces in the first few rows!! Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves!
Then onto Salt Lake, which we were blown away by the welcome from the crowd. Having spent quite some time there last year,we're big fans of Salt Lake City so we knew we were gonna really enjoy ourselves but my gosh I think it was one of...if not the best audience of the tour so far!! I thought the roof on the fabulous E Center was going to collapse in on us with all the hoopin' and hollerin'!!!!
Another wonderful show in Boise and onto one of my favourite places in the US..Seattle!!
I'm not sure whether its the lovely green trees, the friendly people or the rain that most reminds me of home, but there's something very comforting about being in Seattle that despite being so far from home it feels quite like it!!!
I can't tell you what a fantastic few days we had at the magnificent Paramount theatre, ending on a high note with a great matinee show on the Sunday!!
During our stay there the weather was unbelievably beautiful! So some of us got the chance (all these years later might I add!) to do the Seattle Underground Tour which was great fun, dine in the incredible Space Needle, wander down to the Public Market (probably my favourite place to see when we come through!) and drink far too many Starbucks...which had some of us literally "Sleepless in Seattle!" lol!!
Which leaves me where I started! About to head home for,if I say so myself...a well deserved little break for us all! I know the girls will agree with me when I say we've really given the debut tour of our Isle Of Hope show everything we have to give, and its so amazing to see the hard work pay off.
I want to thank you all so much for making this tour the success it has been so far. It's been such a joy to perform for you all every night.
The support, love and endless good vibes been sent our way has kept us going...and for that we can't thank you enough!!
Looking forward to chillin' out for a few days at home and I'm already excited to come back refreshed and ready to kick some ass on the last leg of our Spring 09' tour!! We've got so many phenomenal places like Wolf Trap,Red Rocks etc coming up that we're so looking forward to bringing the new show to!
Not to mention a certain someone's big ol' 20th birthday in June that I know the girls have already planned the party for...(ahem ahem...lol!) :-P
Hope you're all well and can't wait to see you all on what I know will be an awesome end to the best tour we've done to date!!!
Chat soon...
Chloe x
I hope you enjoy your brief respite at home, you've earned it!!! Have a safe journey and I look forward to seeing you when the tour resumes. May your journey be full of love and light.
ReplyDeleteY'all definitely deserve a little break after all of this touring. Can't wait to see you guys in West Palm Beach....it's gonna be freakin' rad.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at home!
Emily
Excellent. It didn't even occur to me that you would be flying home during this break. Swift of me, I know. *sheepish look* Definitely a well-earned rest! Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
-Emily
Hey Chloe! Glad your enjoying your time off, you all deserve a nice break. The show has been awesome.
ReplyDeleteYou were in one of my fav cities, Seattle. Grew up near there back when I was a kid (60's), and have been the Space Needle many times. Never did the Underground, as at the time, I was too scared to go thru it lol!.
Anyways, be safe on your travels, enjoying being home with friends and family, and look forward to see you all again at West Palm Beach.
Mel

Wonderful to read your new entry, Chloe, but please, please, please post more VIDEO journal entries -- whether at the Celtic Woman site, or wherever. The other girls seem to do a lot of this, but it's *your* videos that the fans really want to see. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great break. Congratulations on a wonderful tour.
Well that is wonderful news, Chloe! Some of us had been given the impression you'd all be working. Very glad that is not the case, as yes, you all really deserve a good rest.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a great debut tour for this new show and your fans/friends are all looking forward to the final swing of this tour. You mentioned Wolf Trap and Red Rocks and you'll see plenty of familiar faces at both and at many others.
The day after Wolf Trap just happens to be your birthday so expect a few happy birthday signs from up front at Wolf Trap.
Have a wonderful break, much deserved rest, and safe travels back to us to wrap the first of your tours this year. See you in Raleigh! Thanks again for Wilkes-Barre!
Scott
I am glad that you get to have a little break from touring and able to see your family after 3 months or so on the road here in the states. Rest up and gather your energy for the rest of the tour. I am looking forward to seeing you again at Red Rocks.

ReplyDeleteI have never seen such energy as you all produce during a show. My husband and I were at the Seattle Sunday show and LOVED IT!!! We were in the 3rd row and I kept whoo-hooing after each song. You are amazing and I love your curtsie at the end of Nella Fantasia...you are such a sweetie. Get rested and come back to the US that loves you...we greet you as always with open arms! Blessings to you and all the gals!
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to sign the above post..doi! You are indeed a treasure...enjoy the last few weeks of "teen-dom"...the 20's are a blast, I can scarcely remember that far back!
ReplyDeleteHugs to all,
Rosie Allen

Chloe,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful concert in Seattle! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Got the best seat of the house front row center Saturday evening! Everyone in our section was excited to see Celtic Woman return to Seattle, especially myself. It's unbelievable how much contact you make with the audience when performing. And thanks for the kind words about Seattle.
It's crazy how much energy you girls have, especially after all the traveling and concerts you all have performed thus far. Trust me, it doesn't go unnoticed.
You must have brought the nice weather with you, because as soon as you all left, it started to rain again (it was raining before you got here too).
Enjoy you well deserved break. Hope to see you again next year in Seattle!
Safe Travels,
Alan
You deserve a relaxing break from an overwhelming tour here, we loved the new youtube video with you dedicating the song to the audience which I saw several times live, it never gets old, I've already watched it more than a dozen times. Brenda and I will see you in Nashville, so may God Bless and keep you safe, Stan-Artist1
ReplyDeleteChloe,
ReplyDeleteGee, and you know who's birthday party is coming up? You're a sly one you are. ;-) Glad to see you are coming home to a well-deserved break,. I'm sure all your animals miss you like crazy, and your mom and sister too. Enjoy your break, relax, and get ready for the last leg of the tour. I know you'll enjoy it! :-D
Sincerely,
Chris Brillantw=e
Hi Chloe,
ReplyDeleteYes being home is good and being with the animals is relaxing. And you have time while staying at Copenhagen airport to write for us and get some sleep. Seattle is a beautiful part part of the country. My grandparents lived there and my uncle dose so been there many times. Yes we know when your b-day is:) and yummy chocolate cake he he:)
God bless you, Miss Agnew!
ReplyDeleteDear Chloe,
ReplyDeleteWe, your many fans, know full well whose 20th is coming up in June! And you will thankfully (for us!) be here with us! We will do our part to make it as special as the birthday girl herself! I will be at Meet & Greets in Lexington, KY and Nashville, TN, so there is a good chance I will get to speak to you at one of those! In the meantime, rest up until it is time to hit the road again!
John/Starman
Hi, Chloë! Great to hear you're headed to a most definitely well-deserved break at home! I pray you are able to catch up on a lot of rest/relaxation and chill time with your family and friends. Yes, a certain very special young lady's 20th birthday is very much on our minds. ;) I wish you an absolutely amazing/beautiful day!! Good to hear how awesome the tour has been thus far. Take care and God Bless!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Jeanine
Chloe,
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your well deserved time at home. Put the Tour out of mind for these few days and enjoy all the comforts of home. Then when you come back on Tour you will be refreshed and all your fans will be waiting for your gorgeous smile, beautiful singing, and a stage presence that is really overpowering. You have come of age, and now you have power in your performance, and it is so powerful and yet so gentle that it invades so many hearts, and without even realizing it they now belong to you. Oh the joy you bring to so many fans.
Jim
Oh, and Chloe, please drop by the Chloe Agnew forums from time to time. (Yes, there are two of them!)

Hi Chloe,
ReplyDeleteI know Don and I gave you a card last night with several forum members’ names on it, and I also got Kim, Raquel, and Greg sign it. Don and I have driven the 700 miles back to my house in Nashville today and I just wanted to tell you what a beautiful performance you and the other ladies put on for us last night in Wolf Trap. That was equal to the “Performance of a Lifetime” in Chattanooga June 4th, 2007 and the “Performance for the Ages” in Louisville April 2, 2008. Please tell all of the ladies and everyone involved in the Show last night that was something to remember for a lifetime; and I thank them. That is why we come so far just to see you perform.
Chloe, remember what I told you in Wilkes Barr March 11, 2009, and in the message I sent to you in Birmingham March 27, 2009 and know that every word is true.
Chloe, I just wanted to tell you again I wish you a “Happy Birthday” Chloe. Just look how far you have come in twenty years; and the world awaits your unlimited talents.
God bless you.
Jim
Happy birthday, Chloë! Do you remember when you hugged me in Oakland? I wish I was there to hug you on your birthday! 20-awesome!

Chloe, Saw the show at Red Rocks last night and WOW!!!! I laughed, I cried and I had a blast. I hope you and the girls always consider yourselves part of the family and you always have a second home in the U.S.A.
ReplyDeleteGirl, you kicked some major ass last night. I've been a fan from day one and {forgive me for saying this} you just get better with age.
I can't wait for the new t.v. show and cd and dvd that hopefully will come out of it. I also can't wait for the next time you come to Red Rocks. Hope you have a great trip home and some down time with family and friends before it all starts up again.
Gwen
Hi Chloe! We saw you at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts center. Both times! The second time we were in the front row two seats away from the aisle to what would have been your right. And my picture I have on here is what I was wearing, and my husband, third seat from the aisle was in a bright hawaiin shirt. I don't even know if you could see us. But it seemed you all made eye contact with us from time to time. The stage there is so close to the seats, let me tell you, your concert is the only real concert my husband and I have seen . You were all so beautiful like Angels, and your voices probabaly went drectly to heaven. I also love the new song O America, the video is linked on my webpage. http://orangetaz.camstreams.com . Take care hun and never lose that gourgeous hair or smile! Kathy Caldwell
ReplyDeleteChloe.....
ReplyDeleteBurn my hands young flame...burn my hands that nurture,
You are safe in my care....neither wind nor rain can snuff you out...
Give me pain young flame...hurt me....I will bear the pain,
I will always be there.....I will protect thee...have no doubt!

Chloe,
ReplyDeleteI wish to tell you how much I enjoyed the Celtic Woman Show in Paducah October 9th, as well as the seventeen forum fans from across the country that gathered there to honor you that night in what has been called a ChloeFest. You were so beautiful and all your songs seemed to be especially inspired in your performance as your love for your fans was so manifest in your beautiful smiles and singing. All of you ladies this night performed with exceptional enthusiasm and joy, and that crowd along with those of us showing our “Chloe Fan” signs and giving deserving standing ovations were highly inspired with what they saw and heard on a night to be forever remembered.
Chloe I hope you were pleased with what we did in your honor; and what a pleasure it was to be allowed to be a part of this celebration in your name. There is not enough I can ever do to repay you for all the enjoyment and love you have brought into my life. You, Alex, Lynn, Mairead, and Lisa and this Celtic Woman Show and all the others that has been involved in making this Show such an beautiful life experience cannot be thanked enough for bringing so much happiness into so many lives.
I thank you from my heart.
Jim
